The Michigan Cattlemen’s Association is working on the 2019 Michigan Beef Expo! 2018 was a success with regards to participation and attendance. In 2018, as in past years, we fine-tuned the Trade Show space which seemed to work well for vendors. We plan to continue using that same design for the 2019 Expo.
We are currently looking for vendors and sponsors of the event. The schedule will be as follows:
Wednesday, March 27, 2019 starting at noon the bulk space vendors may start moving in.
Thursday, March 28, 2019 starting at 8:00 A.M. the bulk vendors continue and regular vendors move in.
Friday, March 29, 2019 the breed shows start at 9:00 A.M. Trade show officially opens at 11:00 A.M., however, if you choose, you may open between 9:00 A.M. and 11:00 A.M.
The MCA member & guest reception will take place within the trade show area between 4:00 P.M. and 7:00 P.M. There will be four tables serving beef tasters. Liquid refreshments will be served, as well. We are asking vendors to remain at their space during this time. We encourage you to provide a dessert/snack of your choosing at your space as well and ask you to stay open until 7:00 P.M.
Saturday, March 30, starting at 8:00 A.M. potential buyers can start registering for their bid numbers. The sales start at 10:00 A.M. The Trade Show opens at 9:00 A.M. so vendors should plan to be in their space at that time.
Also, on Saturday, March 30 at 5:00 P.M. the Block and Bridle Junior Livestock show participants will start moving into the pavilion. Commercial vendors are welcome to stay through Sunday; however, commercial booths near the cattle stalls may need to move to the opposite end of the isle. This is to create an open space for youth showmen to work on their cattle. We understand this creates some logistical challenges and we appreciate your cooperation. Any vendor who is not staying through Sunday is urged to remove their booth by 8:00 P.M. Saturday evening.
Sunday, March 31, does not have any specific times set for the Trade Show. This day is optional for all vendors. The Junior Livestock show is scheduled to start at 8:00 A.M. MCA staff will not be in attendance on Sunday. The Michigan Cattlemen’s Association hands the show over to the MSU Block & Bridle Club starting Saturday evening.
I have attached maps of available spaces.
Vendor contracts must be paid in full before space will be reserved.
Thank you for your support of the Michigan Cattlemen’s Association!
Jacquie Harrison, MCA Office Staff
